Your online teacher training provides you with a library of lectures you can access for years after your training. We only wish we had our teachers wisdom online to access now! When you learn in person, you have to rely on your notes to refer back on and hope and pray that you wrote it all down... With an online training you can stop, rewind, go back and never miss a thing.

You have a job? You have children? Have ADD? Or live in the Bahamas? With an online training you can access classes at a time and pace that works for you. You can also practice and learn from anywhere in the world, whether you are in Australia or anywhere else in the world.

You can definitely work- but take a look at the hours of commitment required. Doing this training requires you to create SPACE for these 3 months. Don’t try and do it all.

You have 3 months to complete all of the work. This is broken up into monthly requirements. Having a deadline is important, so that you get qualified, learn to commit and build the integrity required to become a real yoga teacher. We aren’t like other online schools that are happy to take the money and leave you to your own devices. We put in energy, so you put in energy, and everyone graduates.

Doing it over 3 months gives you more time and space to integrate the teachings. Most in person trainings happen in around 3 weeks, they are amazing but it can be hard to integrate 200 hours of learning into your life and work. With our 3 month structure you can embody this work and let it flow into your life.

We believe there are certain aspects of a YTT200 that are done really well in person. Adjusting on physical bodies, practicing as a group, fire ceremonies and rituals, are just a few aspects that make more sense in person.

Our weekly calls build deep connections and community, as well as provide you with a safer space to practice teaching others in an online environment. Learning how to teach and engage people online will no doubt be a big part of your work (whether you like it or not!) and developing the skills and insight to understand online learning environments is also part of our YTT. 

This is the time to ask questions, to connect on both your struggles and your spiritual expansion, get support from both teachers and other students.

Yes they are recorded, but you need to be at 90% of the calls to graduate.

We aren’t big on difficult assessments, long essays and time consuming homework. We prefer to see you actually engaged in the work, that’s how we know you will be a great teacher. So when you show up to calls every week we see your engagement as a deep commitment to this work.

The Light Collective Yoga Teacher Training is a certified training with the world’s largest yoga governing body, Yoga Alliance. So if you want to get your yoga certificate, our online yoga course has you covered! Making it easier for you to get insured, qualified and keeping you in good standing in all your future work.

You will be certified not just to teach asanas, but also in pranayama and yogic breathwork, as well as meditation. We want you to come out with 4 qualifications in one- as yoga, breathwork kundalini and meditation teachers.

Some other yoga courses online aren’t certified (or even good quality) so make sure you do your research!

Ok so you still haven’t mastered a handstand and your imposter syndrome/ evil inner voice is rearing it’s ugly head. It’s ok. Our style of teaching is about much more than just the asana. We teach a holistic practice that includes other things you might be much better at like pranayama, meditation, kriya and mantras.

We will be doing a regular home asana practice though, so a certain level of fitness is required. It’s a good idea to have a regular home practice so that when the training starts you’re not relying to heavily on the magnesium bath salts to ease the achey muscles!

Even if you don’t want to teach, you can do this YTT200. It will expand you spiritually in ways you can’t image and you can explore the magical teachings and philosophy of yoga, just for you.

A yoga teacher training shouldn’t be academically stressful. It just shouldn’t be. Yoga is about getting you out of your head and into the body and spirit. So our assessments are about making sure you get it, your way.

We get you to personally reflect online, a lot. This is important to us, to know you are feeling it, embodying it and finding your own personal language.

We ask you to teach small practices to other students and reflect on your teaching experiences. It doesn’t have to be a big scary thing, because we do it all the time, you become familiar with it and at ease with teaching.

We have conversations with you during our live calls and ensure you are learning that way.

 Because it’s online we can see if you have done the modules. It’s that easy.
